Ok, let’s talk about this little thing that we’re calling the Grand Giveaway. 2012 marks the fifteenth year for P&R Photos, and the eighth for CRI. My how time has flown!!! I’ve pondered something like this for more than a couple of years, but the whirlwind hasn’t let my mind go long enough to “think it out”. Just like most of the ride, particularly of the past seven years flying by the seat my pants, this thing just kinda fell into place.
Trade show season always offers many opportunities to “win” some pretty neat merchandise from some of the best in karting, and over the years, I’ve had the tendency to support the cause whenever possible by purchasing raffle tickets or what have you, always with the preconceived notion that if I win, the supporters of CRI/P&R Photos will reap the rewards.
Recently, at the Alabama Karting Super Show, I held the winning ticket for a brand new Falcon Firehawk chassis!! Suddenly, I had the big piece of a puzzle that would rapidly fall together and create a pretty good picture. The first notion was to dress it out and give it away as a “race ready” unit. However, the windshield time traveling back to South Carolina provided the time for the wheels in this feeble mind to churn out The Grand Giveaway.

Thanks to a group of wonderful supporters, we’ve put together a nice array of prizes, and here is how this deal will work; The Grand Giveaway will take place in October at Dawgwood Speedway in Chatsworth, GA during the Chase’n Race’n Illustrated Pro Kart Tour Grand Nationals. There are six pretty nice prizes that will be given away. The first drawing will give us ten “semi-finalists”. From those ten names, five will be eliminated by another blind draw. Out of those “first five out”, we’ll draw one “wild card”. The “wild card” prize is a Turn One Website package from P&R Photos, plus a set of Driver Cards!!
Now, at this point, there will be five names left in the hat. The line-up of prizes to be awarded are;
Fifth Prize – MyChron4 (AIM Sports)
Fourth Prize – 2 sets of Maxxis Tires and WMS TR2 Wheels
Third Prize – Custom painted Helmet (BKP Art)
Second Prize – Custom Leather Driving Jacket (Advanced Design Leathers)
GRAND PRIZE – Brand New Falcon Racing Chassis!!! Add in a Seat, a G-Man Body Kit, and Steering Wheel, and we think you’ve got a super nice ride!!!
Of course the helmet and leather jacket designs will include representation of Chase’n Race’n Illustrated and P&R Photos, and we hope that the winners will be proud to receive them.
Thanks to Brad Gerrells, owner of Falcon Racing Chassis, the chassis that will be given away in October will be the latest offering from Falcon, not the actual chassis that was raffled off in January in Alabama.
Now, the big question is, How do I win these prizes?!?!? It’s real simple, you only have to be a subscriber to Chase’n Race’n Illustrated!!! That’s right, no other obligation! However, there is a way to “increase your odds”! Nearly every weekend in 2012, the CRI/P&R Photos wagon will be at a track somewhere in America. At every event, we offer a Special Package deal that includes our great photos and products at savings from thirty to forty percent. Every package purchase by a CRI subscriber will earn a bonus entry into The Grand Giveaway!! That means, for instance, a subscriber visits the CRI/P&R Photos wagon at five events throughout the year and purchases our “package” offering, that’s an additional five entries in the contest!! How easy can it get?!
